2-dimensional fiber arrays are mainly used in wavelength selective switches, silicon optical modules, and laser radars.

It is mainly used in chip coupling in the field of silicon photonics, which can effectively reduce the package size of silicon photonics modules.

PM FA is a Polarization-Maintaining fiber placed in the V-Groove on the array substrate to achieve high-density parallel transmission by maintaining the same polarization direction. Compared with ordinary fiber arrays, PM FA requires high-precision processing to ensure accurate alignment of the polarization states on both ends of the connector, and to ensure high-precision positions and angles of each channel of the FA. PM FA is widely used in Coherent transmission, PM optical waveguide devices, fiber sensing.
